It seems as if Orlando will be starting off 2008 with a bang…..a cold bang that is. A cold front is headed here for New Years day, one that we haven’t seen in YEARS. The high tomorrow is going to be 56 degrees. 56 DEGREES, holy swiss cheese! I need to find my gloves, my hat and three of my sweaters. (I’ve lived in FLorida my entire life, I dont even know what a Winter coat is.) Well I guess I won’t be boogie boarding on New Years Day (see earlier post). But at least I know that soon my tropical weather will be restored and all will be restored in my sunny Orlando, Florida.

While my husband may complain that its not really Christmas without some kind of cold weather, I myself belive otherwise. I love to drive around and look at Christmas lights and how so many people have decorated their native Florida Palm Trees. Where else do you get to see such a spectacle?
So I composed a list of my favorite Florida things to do in the Winter:
1. Toss around the pigskin after Christmas Dinner (without gloves and snow shoes)
2. Eat Christmas Dinner outside on the porch.
3. Make sand Angels on the beach.
4. Going to the Beach on New Years Day (no better way to start off your new year than Boogey Boarding in the surf).
5. Decorating the palm trees in the front yard.
6. Having a Christmas Eve Barbecue with family and Friends
7.(Curtesy of my Uncle an ex New Yorker) Fishing with his Pops on Thanksgiving Day in his shorts and flip flops.
8.Going camping for New Years Eve (on the beach, nonetheless)
So I’ve made my list, now it is your turn. If you or someone you know, is considering relocating to Orlando, Florida. Please call the Relocation experts at 1.888.580.6683 or visit our Relocation Website.
