Wanting to relocate to Orlando, but not sure if you are going to be able to get the true value of your house you are currently living in. Well good news is in, finally! A recent article posted by Alan Zibel called Data Showing Housing Market Starting to Recover is giving homeowners across America a sparkle of hope. According to Zibel and the National Association of Realtors,
“Sales of previously occupied homes rose for the third month in a row in June… That hasn’t happened since early 2004, during the boom… Stocks jumped on the news, with the Dow Jones industrial average rising above 9,000 for the first time since early January. Home sales rose 3.6 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.89 million last month, from a downwardly revised pace of 4.72 million in May. Sales were up in all four regions of the country.”
In this changing market, it is sometimes difficult to gage when the best time to buy is and when the best time to sell is. The positive, current industry trends can at least give all of us some solid ground to make future decisions on. So, when you do decide to make the big move, whether you are relocating for another job, you’re a new snow bird, or you just like the weather here in Orlando, be sure to look us up at Relocation Networking Services to better help you with your adjustment. There are many concerns going through your head as you are relocating to your new home in Orlando. The key to moving AND keeping your sanity is getting as much done as you can before you make the big move. Changing your address is something that shouldn’t be a pain if done enough in advance. Here are some places you may want to remember to submit an address update to …
- Post Office
- Bank or Credit Union
- Insurance Company
- Investment Institution
- Credit Card Companies
- Vehicle Registration
- Clubs & Memberships
- Magazine Subscriptions
- Doctors/Dentists Office
- Don’t forget your friends and family!
You can easily change your address on-line at The United States Postal Service website and place a specific date for your change of address to go into effect. This is a great hassle free way to change your address since you don’t have to wait in any lines. As a form of checking your identification on-line, USPS requires a credit card number and charges a dollar to your account. An added bonus when changing your address on-line is that they give you up to three hundred dollars in coupons from places like Lowes, SafeTouch, and Publix that you can use for your new home. If there is a post office locally, you can always fill out a form on-site for free. They will forward your mail on a date of your choosing and give you specific forwarding periods for magazines, credit statements and other miscellaneous mail you may receive.
For companies that you may get bill statements from, you can usually fill out a form to change your address on the back of their bill statements. This is handy, but requires a second party to manually type in the address change. Now, many companies let you change your address on their website, that way you know that it is documented correctly and the processing time is immediate. Don’t forget that some companies take up to a month to process change of address forms, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time.
