Good Times and Fast Greens

If the PGA Tour decided to switch from regulation size golf courses to the miniature ones with windmills and volcanoes, Orlando would be a top destination.  There are plenty of them scattered throughout town-over in the UCF area, down International Drive, throughout Disney World, and everywhere in between.  They can be safari themed, look like the deck of a pirate ship, or have a mystical dinosaur-induced visage.  Mini-golf courses that are appealing to everyone!

Putt putt challenges are great for friends, first dates, family outings, and practice before your stint at Torrey Pines. Many places offer you the chance to feed gators, partake in food and beverage, and sneak onto “employee only” sections to see where the golf magic happens (we don’t recommend doing this).  Putt putt, mini-golf, baby PGA…however you say it, it’s one of the most enjoyable outdoor activities you can participate in.

Orlando’s Lake Eola

Lake Eola is somewhat of an iconic geographical centerpiece for the downtown Orlando area.  There is much dog-walking, jogging, biking, and in-line skating to be had around the perimeter of this majestic lake.  The UCF Shakespeare Festival takes place here annually, and there are various events and fresh market weekends that commence here on weekends.  At night, the infamous fountain in the center of the lake changes colors to produce an eye-engaging light show.  Basically, it’s the happening spot for Downtown Orlando residents.

If you fancy the tranquility of Tai Chi or the ferocity of Kung Fu, participate in either on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturday evenings.  During Spring and Fall, immerse yourself in the impressive cultural past-times of Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong.  You will be able to show off to friends once you’ve mastered the Lotus Stance and the Tiger Claw Pounce.

The Presence of International Drive

We’ve discussed I-Drive in the past, but even to this day, the whole area is continually growing with new and exciting things for both tourists and locals.  The latest development is Dave & Buster’s, a must-go destination for fine dining, video game enjoyment, and all-around good times for friends and family.  Now, you might imagine the arcade area being rife with children running around aimlessly, nagging their parents for quarters and soda refills.  But this is absolutely not the case.  You’ve never seen so many adults engaged in top speed virtual races, dance competitions, and digital big game hunting before!

There is a ton of free parking underneath the establishment (which looks like a fortress according to some visitors).  A large bar is situated in the center of the complex for the adults to partake in matured beverages.  Among all the thrill of the games is the chance to win “reward points” by playing skill games.  With enough of these reward points, you are able to receive top prizes such as an Xbox 360 or an iPad2.

Is it just us, or is everything incredible in the world coming to Orlando?  Of course it is!  See for yourself-relocating to Florida doesn’t have to be troublesome.  Contact us today at (407)595-4474.

Weather You Like it or Not

Florida is well-known for its weather.  Known for either sunny days and beautiful beaches.  Or known for torrential downpour and cataclysmic hurricanes.  Whatever you perception may be, people don’t travel from all over the world to Florida, and Orlando, for nothing!

Summers can be tough in Orlando, but where is it not?  The weather fairs surprisingly well compared to the rest of Florida during the summer, mostly because of being inland.  Afternoon rain and thunderstorms are common, but nothing you wouldn’t expect for the season.  What we have to look forward to is the ideal weather that transpires during Fall, Winter, and Spring!

You may not be a huge advocate of stormy summer weather, so Orlando has an almost infinite amount of indoor activities to partake in while the dark clouds pass overhead.  Once the sun shines its glowing face on Central Florida once again, enjoy the dozens of recreational areas and parks spread generously across town.

See why people from all over the world make Orlando a top destination. For assistance and relocation services to Orlando, call a representative from RNS Florida at 407-595-4474.

Food Truck Frenzy

So basically so far, we’ve probably already came to the conclusion “Wow, how could Orlando get any cooler?”.  We have the entertainment, the weather, the proximity to theme parks, and the exciting growth of our beloved city!  But now we have food trucks, and they are fantastic.

The name food truck may make you a little skeptical, but fear not! They are heavily scrutinized for health codes and safety, and are actually more like portable restaurants. See for yourself.  Here’s a popular one in Orlando:

They cover all culinary aspects.  Here is a list of the most popular ones in Orlando:

  • Red Eye BBQ (seen above)
  • Treehouse Truck
  • Yum Yum Cupcake Truck
  • The Crooked Spoon
  • Korean BBQ Taco Box
  • The Pelao

All these culinary outlets are mobile, so sometimes it is an adventure to find them!  Here’s a great guide to them.

Orlando’s trend for food trucks won’t be slowing down anytime soon. For assistance and relocation services to Orlando, call a representative from RNS Florida at 407-595-4474.

Orlando Calling

That’s right, Orlando is getting it’s own exclusive music festival this year in November!  Festival Republic has decided to make Orlando’s Citrus Bowl Park the location for this musically historic event.  Starting Saturday, November 12th and ending the following day, some famous acts such as Pixies, Killers, The Raconteurs, Pixies, Kid Rock, Bob Seger, The Avett Brothers, Pixies, Buddy Guy, Pixies, Doobie Brothers, and Dwight Yoakam. And Gogol Bordello, and the Pixies.

The event is poised for eco-friendliness, which means there will be extensive use of recycling bins and alternative fuel options.  This is going to be huge for the music credibility scene in Orlando, namely because the only musical event we have to look forward to is Warped Tour.  The location is in proximity to downtown, but it is recommended you take a vehicle for transportation for late night entertainment.

This high octane, high energy event has everyone in Orlando riled up for the next 100+ days!

Orlando’s music scene is growing as rapidly as our city. For assistance and relocation services to Orlando, call a representative from RNS Florida at 407-595-4474.

The Birth of Legoland in Florida

Let’s face it.  Everyone has owned some form or another of legos in their lifetime.  Constructing delightful castles and structures out of multi-colored, easy-to-use blocks fascinated us in our young age.  Now, even as decades have passed, we will get to relive the Lego journey now in October, with the opening of Legoland!

Located about 50 miles Southeast of downtown Orlando, Legoland is going to furnish Florida with the allure and excitement of the decades of Lego Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Pirates, and so much more! This is certainly going to be high-octane entertainment for adults and children alike.

Orlando continues to be the titan in theme parks and international appeal. For assistance and relocation services call a representative from RNS Florida at 407-595-4474.
