If you are looking to relocate to an area with a diverse population and strong sense of community spirit, Celebration may be perfect for you! Celebration, Florida is a census-designated place (CDP), meaning that it is not an incorporated town, but is designated by the census to differentiate it from neighboring towns. Even though Celebration is not an official town, it is still based on five cornerstones: health, education, technology, community, and sense of place.

Located in very close proximity to Walt Disney World, Celebration was actually developed by The Walt Disney Company in the early 1990s. This town was planned in an early 20th century architectural style and is not zoned for high-density residences, thus bringing a small-town feel to the community.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Celebration has a total area of 10.7 miles and a population of just 7,427 citizens. Out of the 952 households claimed, 45.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.5% are married couples living together, and 24.7% are non-families (see Figure 1). The average household size is 2.82 and the average family size is 3.30.

Figure 1: Household Demographics

The population is spread out with 30.8% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 26.4% from 45 to 64, and 6.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age determined was 37 years. The median income for a household is $74,231, and the median income for a family is $92,334 (see Figure 2).

Figure 2: Age Demographics

Celebration has a wide variety of community organizations, seven registered Christian churches, one hospital ministry, and one Jewish congregation. There are parks throughout the town as well as a fire department, post office, schools, and a golf course. Celebration Town Center contains many shops, restaurants, and other commercial establishments.

Celebration is separated into areas referred to as villages. This includes North Village, East Village, South Village, and Artisan Park, to name a few. This town is extremely safe and has been witness to only two serious crimes.

The town of Celebration, even though not an official city, is a wonderful place to live. Celebration is a community where residents strongly believe in caring for their neighbors. When you visit, be sure to visit the Celebration Welcome Center to pick up a detailed community map and spend some time learning about the history of the town.

Later that night is the All Star Saturday Night, which includes four individual events: the Haier Shooting Stats event, the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, and the Sprite Slam Dunk.

CNN Money traveled the country to find cities and towns that had the best mix of business advantages and lifestyle appeal. The city of Orlando, Florida made CNN Money’s list of the “100 best places to live and launch”.

Beautiful weather and comfortable year round temperatures make Orlando a popular residential destination for many people. As spring approaches, temperatures will start to warm up, while still remaining pleasant. The only downside to Orlando’s weather is that July and August are the hottest months of the year and are generally accompanied with humidity and afternoon rains.

In the past 40 years, the growth of Orlando has driven many new businesses and corporations to make Orlando their home, thus bringing new jobs and better schools to the area. Along with businesses catering to the 40 million tourists a year who frequent Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and other theme-parks in the area, Orlando consists of a wide range of manufacturing and financial services companies.

The University of Central Florida and Florida’s National Entrepreneurship Center also bring residents to the area. The University of Central Florida (UCF) is the nation’s second largest university with over 56,000 students. It consists of 12 colleges located in Orlando and is constantly growing. The National Entrepreneurship Center (E-Center) is dedicated to encouraging new business ideas, supporting local business growth, and providing resources to small businesses in Central Florida.

With Thanksgiving approaching soon, much like the rest of the country, there are families in Central Florida that are concerned about pulling enough food together to celebrate along with the rest of us. One of the many great things about Orlando is the level of community involvement and philanthropy we have. One of the biggest organizations for food distribution is our Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. This private nonprofit delivers food donations to over 500 nonprofit agencies in counties all over Central Florida. Their mission? Create a “Hunger-Free” Central Florida.

Getting involved in the Orlando community is easy and much appreciated. There are plenty of organizations that assist with children, disaster relief, and general volunteering. If you like animals, there are pet care and animal rescue programs. If you like spending time contributing to the environment, we have many different national parks and preserves to maintain the balance of wildlife along with the care and importance of Florida nature.

Relocation Network Services in Orlando is here to make your transition to Central Florida smooth. We know that moving to a new city can be stressful. We our expert knowledge, RNS Florida is here to help. For more information about relocation to Orlando, Florida call RNS Florida at 407-595-4474.
